ATS resume templates

Three resume skeletons that applicant tracking systems read correctly. Copy one into any editor, fill in your experience, then run it through the free ATSReady audit to see how it scores against the job you want.

The rules every template here follows

  • One column only — ATS parsers read top to bottom and scramble multi-column layouts.
  • No tables, text boxes, headers, footers, or images. Contact details go in the body.
  • Standard headings: Work Experience, Skills, Education. Creative labels get missed.
  • A common font (Arial, Calibri, Georgia) at 10.5–12pt, black text on white.
  • Save as .docx or a text-based PDF. Scanned or designed PDFs often parse as blank.
  • Mirror the job posting's exact words for skills you genuinely have — that's what the ATS matches on.
